Publication Date: Sep 8, 2015

I received a copy of this book from the author and HEA Blog Tours for an honest review in anticipation of an upcoming Blog Tour for the sequel ‘House Of The Lost Girls’.

Goodreads Summary:

Wendi Wise is a troubled young woman who snorts her breakfast through a straw and spends more time in rehab than in the real world…
Her life is seemingly out of control.
But now she has a plan.
That plan involves a sharp set of butcher knives.
She’s going back to where all of her troubles began…
Wendi was lured away from a local skating rink, at the age of thirteen, and held captive in a place she calls ‘The House of Horrors.’ Dumped off blindfolded on the side of a dirt road, Wendi soon discovered that she was addicted to the drugs they fed her while she was captive.
Too scared to go home, and having a new habit to deal with, she hopped on a bus, vanishing from the family she loved.
Vanishing from Flocksdale…
The town of Flocksdale is littered with fliers with a grainy image of young Wendi, and the words ‘Have You Seen This Girl?’ written below.
Now, eight years later, she’s on a mission—a mission to find the mysterious house from her youth and the monsters who dwell inside it.
“This is the end, beautiful friend, the end…”

My Review

This is  a story about betrayal of the worst kind and subsequent revenge, one young lady’s struggle with her past and her determination to wreak havoc on those who destroyed her innocence..and it is a good one!

Meet Wendi, the struggling addict who has been to rehab one time too many and would like to face her fears, get her revenge and move on with her life. The story takes us to dark places and the low levels of human depravity. I couldn’t help but admire her spirit. She has sunk to very lowest of lows with her drug habit but she is constantly trying to better herself even though the pull of her addiction sometimes ruin her plans. I found her to be such a realistic and relatable character that elicited my empathy.

Have You Seen This Girl has its shares of thrills and tension to satisfy any reader. It will keep you reading while it hurtles to a stunning conclusion and a twist I dare say you won’t see coming!

My Rating

3.5 stars

A must read for fans of suspenseful thrillers  and crime fiction.
